Suburb profile for Williams Landing

  • Williams Landing is a developing new suburb, located 19km's west of Melbourne's CBD.

    The site was a fromer RAAF base named after Air Marshall Sir Richard Williams.  The base was in service for 70 years with official operations ceasing in September 1996.

    The base wa suseed by a number of aircraft over the years, including Hercules and Bulldog fighters and jets such as Vampire's and Meteor's to name a few.

    Williams Landing has a number of planned facilities including main town centre featuring speciality shops, cafe's and offices.  There will also be a train station and bus interchange for residents.

    The estate will also feature major wetlands and grassland area's with numerous walking and cycling tracks.
