Little River Earth Sanctuary
Werribee Rotarian & Real Estate Agent James Ferris organised a Twilight visit and BBQ for his Club to the Little River Earth Sanctuary recently.
James is embarrassed to admit that whilst he lives in Wyndham, he had no knowledge of the Earth Sanctuary until meeting the owners in the course of his job at First National Westwood Real Estate.
Following a delicious BBQ and a visit to the Rothwell homestead
about 50 members including their partners and families were treated to an exceptional adventure tour at sunset.
“ This amazing place is on our doorstep” says James “ You can visit the Ned Kelly Film set, learn about the animals and join the volunteer program. It’s a must for everyone, especially if you have children.”

This wonderful project was undertaken by a group of people with disabilities who converted a vacant block into a striking garden. Since the initial project began a nursery and café have been added and these provide ongoing employment for people with disabilities.
There are rolling lawns, BBQ, picnic area, sunken herb garden, a beautiful pond with a stream winding it’s way through the attractive, sweet smelling gardens.
